Problems at school
Our schooldays are a major part of our lives.
It can be an enjoyable time and it can also be an awful time. For most people, it varies.
If you’re finding something tough, it’s good to be able to talk to someone about it.
Everyone’s situation is unique and you are the one who knows best what it’s like to be in your situation.
There can be many different reasons why you are unhappy at school and many solutions to your problem. There may be other people in the same situation as you that you can exchange ideas and experiences with.
Sometimes you can identify the reason why you’re feeling like you do by yourself and also come up with your own solutions.
But sometimes you need help from other people – for example from friends, parents, school staff or staff at another facility for children or young people.
You don’t have to feel bad when you’re at school.
In secondary schools and upper secondary schools, the head teacher has overall responsibility for all educational activity.
If it is found that a pupil is in need of special support, the head teacher is responsible for seeing that the matter is investigated and that a decision is made about special support.
